Spotlight on Membership Renewal: with Andrea Myers

What excites you most about your role, especially with member renewal season on the horizon? Are there any new initiatives or goals you’re particularly looking forward to this year?

Andrea: Being part of HAC for so many years, I’ve seen how our work and our membership have grown and adapted. It’s that constant evolution that keeps things exciting and meaningful for me. Member renewal season is one of my favourite times because it’s a chance to reconnect with so many members and showcase how we’re enhancing the value of their membership. We’ve been focused on refining our programs and benefits, and I can’t wait to share those updates.

As we approach member renewal season, what new benefits or resources can members look forward to in the upcoming year? How is HAC enhancing its value to members?

Andrea: We’ve been listening closely to what our members need, and for 2025, I’m especially excited about our updated members-only webinar series. These sessions will cover a wide range of topics designed to provide practical insights and solutions. On top of that, our revamped member portal is a game changer. It’s now packed with resources—supplier directories, industry stats, advocacy updates, past webinar recordings, and more. It’s become a go-to hub for members, and we’re always here to help if they need guidance navigating it.

How has HAC’s membership network evolved over the past year, and how does that shape your approach to fostering stronger connections and engagement within the association?

Andrea: Our network is always evolving, and it’s amazing to welcome new members while continuing to grow relationships with long-standing ones. This diversity keeps our community vibrant, and our work fresh. This has also inspired us to find creative ways to connect members with each other, and with us. My focus has been on building those bridges—whether through meaningful conversations, collaborative opportunities, or resources that help members truly feel the value of being part of HAC.
